College Football Playoff picks after Week 13

With a few weeks remaining until College Football Playoff field is set, there are scant few undefeated teams remaining. Week 13 knocked out two more undefeated teams a few conference races messier.

The Indiana Hoosiers, No. 5 in last week’s rankings, played just their second AP top-five matchup in school history, against the Ohio State Buckeyes, No. 2 in the rankings. The Buckeyes thoroughly handled the Hoosiers, limiting them to just 151 total yards. A win next week against the Michigan Wolverines, will put Ohio State in the Big Ten title game for a rematch with the No. 1 Oregon Ducks.

In the Big 12, the BYU Cougars and Colorado Buffaloes could clinch spots with wins and a bit of help. Neither held up their end of the deal. BYU lost to the Arizona State Sun Devils and Colorado got ran all over by Devin Neal and the Kansas Jayhawks.

The Army Black Knights was the other unbeaten to fall in Week 13. They were beaten handily by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish who are a win over the USC Trojans away from likely reaching the playoff. Two teams working for at-large bids, at best — the Alabama Crimson Tide and Ole Miss Rebels — suffered road upsets which could knock them out of contention.
