Mother-daughter bond: Aishwarya Rai shares her one piece of advice for all moms – Times of India

L-R: Aaradhya with mom Aishwarya

Bollywood actress and the OG ‘Queen’, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shares a deep bond with her daughter Aaradhya. Be it on the red carpet or at social events, Aishwarya and Aaradhya, the duo are often seen together giving a glimpse of their mother-daughter relationship. More recently, Aishwarya attended an event along with Aaradhya, wherein she was asked about her parenting advice for mothers who have daughters.Pleasantly surprised by the question, Aishwarya gave an answer that would resonate with most women.
On being asked about her the one thing women, who have daughters, should remember Aishwarya told NDTV, “Oh wow! Listen, you are a mother and you know best! We are all human beings, we are not gonna sit and advise each other or share with each other (about parenting tips). There is no rule book we are all born with. So yeah, you do you. And you are incredible with your daughter. So blessings and love.” And rightly so!
Isn’t it true that people often give unwanted advice to women on parenting, which might not even stand true for them? However, it is the mother who knows what’s best for her child, no matter what! Most mothers have a natural instinct and a deep connection with their child which helps them choose the right decisions for their child. Also, to each their own. A parenting tip that might work for one woman, might not hold true for someone else. So, Aishwarya’s piece of advice for women to listen to their motherly instincts and make their own decisions is true.
Meanwhile, in a 2023 interview with Hindustan Times, Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek Bachchan spoke about his top parenting tips and more. On being asked about it, Abhishek said, “The only parenting tip I can give anybody is never compromise on your child’s dignity. Sometimes, we feel like reprimanding them because that is how we were brought up. That is how we were reprimanded and disciplined as children, but this generation is far more sensitive. Maybe because they have not seen the upheavals our parents or grandparents saw… If you compromise their dignity while reprimanding them, they are just going to switch off to you… Basically, in a nutshell, you can’t do anything. Just give them an Ipad and (waves) bye.”
