We’re officially through four weeks of the NFL season, and the injuries continue to pile up. Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson left his team’s game against the Steelers with an oblique strain. His teammate Jonathan Taylor exited earlier with an ankle injury. Packers receiver Christian Watson also suffered a high ankle sprain against the Vikings.
Here’s a list of the most significant players dealing with injuries and their latest statuses ahead of Week 5.
Richardson left Sunday’s win against Pittsburgh with an oblique strain. After a couple of rough performances, he was looking quite sharp before the injury: 3-for-4 passing, 71 yards and a 116.7 QBR. He’s considered day-to-day and was a limited participant Friday.
Wilson has yet to play this season because of a calf injury. He was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, but the Steelers are reportedly easing him back. They plan to start Justin Fields, as they have all season, against the Cowboys on “Sunday Night Football.”
Kamara is dealing with hip and rib injuries but was a limited participant at practice Thursday. He is expected to suit up against the defending champions Monday night.
Devin Singletary, New York Giants
Status: Questionable vs. Seahawks
The Giants’ top back did not practice Thursday because of a groin injury. Singletary told ESPN he “has a chance” to suit up against Seattle.
Kenneth Walker III, Seattle Seahawks
Status: Questionable vs. Giants
Walker, who has an oblique injury, was limited in practice Thursday. After he missed a couple of games in a row, he returned to full power in Week 4 and had 80 yards rushing and three scores, so his absence would be massive.
Austin Ekeler, Washington Commanders
Status: Questionable vs. Browns
Ekeler looked to be on the way to a big performance against Cincinnati in Week 3 — 35 yards rushing and a score — but he sustained a concussion in the first half and was ruled out. He was a full participant at Thursday’s practice.
Brian Robinson, Washington Commanders
Status: Questionable vs. Browns
Robinson has been very productive this season (307 yards rushing, three touchdowns) but missed two straight practices with a knee injury. He did practice Thursday. He is day-to-day ahead of the home matchup vs. Cleveland.
Dameon Pierce, Houston Texans
Status: Questionable vs. Bills
Pierce missed practice Thursday dealing with a hamstring injury. He has not played since Week 1, in a win against the Colts in which he rushed three times for 16 yards.
Joe Mixon, Houston Texans
Status: Questionable vs. Bills
Another Houston running back could also be out vs. Buffalo this weekend. After a promising start, Mixon has not played since he injured an ankle in Week 2. NFL Network reports it is unlikely he plays Sunday.
If he and Pierce do not suit up, Cam Akers is expected to start in the backfield.
Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts
Status: Out vs. Jaguars
The Colts’ star running back has now missed two straight practices ahead of their matchup with the Jags with an ankle injury. He was officially ruled out Friday.
Travis Etienne, Jacksonville Jaguars
Status: Questionable vs. Colts
Etienne has been limited at practice this week with a shoulder injury he sustained in Week 4. He is considered day-to-day.
Wide receivers
Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers
Status: Doubtful vs. Rams
Watson did not practice Thursday while he was dealing with an ankle injury and is not expected to face Los Angeles.
Tank Dell, Houston Texans
Status: Questionable vs. Bills
Dell is battling a chest injury but has been a limited participant all week. He is trending toward playing against Buffalo.
Davante Adams, Las Vegas Raiders
Status: Questionable vs. Broncos
Adams, Las Vegas’ star pass catcher, has been the talk of the league after he requested a trade this week. He has a hamstring injury and is not expected to play Denver, according to ESPN.
Malik Nabers, New York Giants
Status: Out vs. Seahawks
Nabers left the Giants’ Week 4 game early with a concussion and has not practiced this week. He was ruled out Friday for this weekend.
Tight ends
Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals
Status: Questionable vs. 49ers
McBride is looking to return from a concussion, and signs are good: He practiced in full Thursday and head coach Jonathan Gannon said he expects McBride to play.
David Njoku, Cleveland Browns
Status: Questionable vs. Commanders
Njoku has not played since he sprained an ankle in Week 1. He has practiced this week and after a planned day off Thursday, did practice on Friday.
Evan Ingram, Jacksonville Jaguars
Status: Questionable vs. Colts
Ingram has not played since Week 1 but has been a limited participant this week for Jacksonville and could suit up against Indianapolis.
Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints
Status: Questionable vs. Chiefs
Hill, New Orleans’ do-everything “tight end,” has fractures to his ribs, according to head coach Dennis Allen. It does not appear likely he will play Monday against the Chiefs.
